How Does the CAM Foundation Differ From CAMP?
CAMP (Central A & M Promoters) provides supplemental funds to classroom teachers
and numerous CAM school groups. Annually, through various projects, CAMP raises
and distributes over $30,000 within our district.
The CAM Foundation will focus private, tax deductible funds toward educational
projects that are beyond the reach of the CAM district's capital and operating
budget. The Educational Foundation endowment fund will accumulate to be used in
future projects suggested by the district administration/board and approved by
the Foundation Board. Although no specific project has been named, foundation
projects would likely be significant infrastructure or technological projects.
Central A & M Foundation … Why?
Central A & M Schools offer outstanding educational opportunities. However,
budgeting based on money from the State of Illinois continues to be a major
concern as promised funding often does not materialize. Increasingly, the focus
of that funding is providing only the most basic services such as staffing,
transportation, and facility operations.
The School Board, the Administration, and the Faculty can be proud that Central
A & M Community Unit District 21 has received the top financial rating given to
Illinois school districts for the past several years. Maintaining this level of
excellence with increasing mandates and decreasing revenues in the coming years
will be a challenge to each of us in our communities.
The Foundation will focus private, tax deductible funds towards sound
educational projects that are beyond the reach of the CAM district’s capitol and
operating budget.
The CAM Foundation Board is asking you to help us achieve the mission by
contributing to this cause. Donations may be mailed to: Central A & M
Foundation, Inc., 105 N. College Street, Assumption, Illinois 62510.
