Welcome to CAM Middle School!  

This year I have the pleasure of teaching Reading and Language Arts to 6 classes of enthusiastic Seventh Graders. In addition to this, I have one Independent Reading Class and one 8th grade study hall.

In Reading, we will be concentrating on several genres of literature: non-fiction, short stories, poetry, novels, and plays. Students in 7th grade will be required to earn 60 points each quarter and read two, count 'em two, Rebecca Caudill books.  If students in her reading classes read and pass quizzes on all 20 Rebecca Caudill books, they will have completed their reading requirement for the remainder of the year.

Language Arts is a combination of grammar, writing, spelling, and vocabulary.  Even though seventh graders will not be tested by the state in writing, we will be doing a lot of expository writing in preparation for testing next year.  Grades in all of my classes are posted on a weekly basis by student ID numbers. If at any time you wish to know your son or daughter's grade, he or she should have this information.
