Mrs. Jordan emphasizes the use of flashcards to study and learn from. Her students are encouraged to study flashcards for a short time each night if they have no other homework in science. Each time students are quizzed by an adult over the flashcards, they may get them signed and dated for extra credit. This reinforces good study habits over the span of the chapter and not just the night before a test.
Other activities Mrs. Jordan is involved with is the annual Washington D.C. trip taken shortly after school is out in May. This trip is offered to all 7th and 8th grade students. Although each student is required to pay for their own trip, there are several opportunities offered to them to raise money to go toward the cost of the trip. We have already had one informational meeting and a fundraising meeting. If any students are interested and did not get to the meetings, please contact Mrs. Jordan at the middle school.
