Dear Parents:

The sixth grade field trip to Medieval Times is scheduled for Friday, May 7, 2010.  While this may seem a long way off, we would like to remind everyone that the opportunity to go on a field trip is a privilege rather than a right.  In order to go to Medieval Times, students must meet the following criteria:

Beginning After January 6

                                   (January 5 - May 7)

1.                 A student may receive no more than three detentions.

2.                 A student may have no in- or out-of-school suspensions.

3.                 A student must be passing sixth grade as of May 7.

 (If a student is failing two or more classes for the year, he or she is not passing.)

While we certainly would like for every sixth grade student to participate in this fabulous field trip opportunity, we think it is even more imperative they are learning and behaving in a manner appropriate to middle school expectations.

If your child does not go on the field trip, the cost of the ticket is not refundable.

Please discuss this letter with your child and keep it for future reference.
