FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.  Staff Information?
            From 2/99  to 1/00, pertaining to the staff members of Foster Care, (1) has an Associate Degree, (5) have Bachelors  Degrees, and (3) have Masters Degrees.  In the Residential staff members, (52) have High School Diplomas, (3) have Associates Degrees, (34) have Bachelors Degrees, and (8) have Masters Degrees.  All staff members bust be at least 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma.  On-going training is offered in all areas of work.

2.  Where do the residents in Kemmerer Village derive from?
            The majority of te residents, in the last year, have been from the Central Illinios area and placed here by the following:  Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Department of Mental Health (DMH), the local courts, area schools, and private placement.  There are guidelines to the acceptation of the residents here at Kemmerer Village.  Foster Care residents are placed here gy the following:  Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Probation Department, local school districts, and private placement.

3. Where does the funding for residents/foster care come from?
            The funding fror these children depend upon whom placed these children in Kemmerer Village.  If the children are placed here bgy DCFS  (Department of Children and Family Services), MH (Mental Health), the court, or the school, arrangements are made with the department that has done the placing.  Private placement, however, costs nothing for the person who has done the placing.

4.  Board Information?
            Kemmerer Village Board of Directors presently has 21 members.  Nine members are currently from the Southeastern Presbytery and eight members are from Great Rivers Presbytery.

5.  What is the current number of residents in the program?
            In the residental program , Kemmerer Village is licensed for 52 children.  Currently, there are 49 children n the residential program, ranging from age 10-18 years of age.  Foster Care currently contains app. 50 children, ranging from age 5 months to 19 years of age.

6.  Do the children have any spiritual experiences now- church on Sunday, ministers visiting campus, ect.?
            Upon admission, the Intake coordinator will determine religion of the incoming resident.  The Clinical Supervisor will determine how often the resident wishes to go to church.   There are no current on-ground religious services.  Residents can attend a Presbyterian Service each Sunday in the community, producing a place for all children to come together.

7.  How many children has Kemmerer Village helped since 1914?
            Kemmerer Village has helped over 4,000 children.

8.  Where do the children go to school?
            The children attend school at Kemmerer Village.  Eleven years ago, a Capital Campaign was done, allowing Kemmerer Village to build the school that houses grades 1-12.

9.  how will the Chapel Fellowship Hall be used?
