What is Operation Teen Safe Driving (OTSD)?

OTSD is an Illinois statewide contest that tries to get schools and their communities involved in becoming better drivers. This program is sponsored by: Governor Pat Quinn, Secretary of State Jesse White, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Secretary Gary Hannig, Illinois State Police, the Ford Motor Company Fund, the Allstate Foundation, and the Governors Highway Safety Association. Central A&M was one of the selected schools this year and received $2,000 from IDOT and Allstate. This money was used to fund OTSD activities and promote safe driving among the students. In March, the contest judges will look over each school's OTSD activities and five schools will be selected from each region. In return for their hard work, the selected schools will receive money for their prom activities
