Central A & M School District 21 middle and high school libraries connect students, faculty and community in a collaborative environment to learn and integrate 21st Century technology and information literacy skills.  This LSTA IN SYNC With Technology grant is developing a model electronic classroom, training teachers, creating a digital production center, establishing a student tech team, and offering technological expertise to businesses and community members. Students, faculty and community are developing 21st Century life-long learning skills with the aid of the libraries and this grant.

Items for the 21st Century Classroom are in place The middle school setup includes a Sympodium.  The high school setup includes a traditional Smart Board.  Both will be equipped with Senteo handheld student response systems and Airliner wireless slates.  Click here to see an Area 4 Learning Technology Center report about our grant.

 

 

 

 Teacher training for the InSync grant began on Thursday, October 30 during the school improvement day.  Middle school and high school teachers received training on the use of some of the new technologies available in our district.  Teachers also learned about the databases available through the library.  Click on the link above to find out about online training for 213.

Community and business surveys were analyzed to determine what classes were taught for community members and businesses in Assumption and Moweaqua.  If you are interested in classes in the future, please let us know!  Click here to see a schedule of the classes that were offered.  All classes were offered free of charge. 

Tech Teams
The Tech Teams at the middle school and high school began activities during the last week of October.  As our Tech Teams get trained, find out how they can assist you with your technology needs.
