Central A & M Schools offer FREE Workshops!

Central A & M School District is pleased to announce that because of a $50,000.00 LSTA grant received by both the high school and middle school libraries, it will begin to offer to both the Assumption and Moweaqua communities a series of workshops.

The grant, “In Sync with Technology,” focuses on community-wide collaboration among the school libraries, local businesses, parents, students and faculty to increase awareness of available local and global applications and electronic services available in many formats.  Besides providing the technology needed to make a digital production center at the high school, both schools also implemented an electronic classroom as well.

In addition, part of this grant provides technology training (workshops) to help maximize the use of resources in work, school and personal lives.  We are pleased to announce the FIRST of a series of FREE workshops available to you.

Workshops will be offered from now through May. Please note that all workshops must be pre-registered for by contacting Ken Hawley by either e-mail (khawley@cam.k12.il.us) or by phone (226-4441).  All workshops offered will have registration deadline dates.

Be sure to reserve your spot quickly as seats are limited.  Specific information about future workshops will be advertised in the newspaper prior to each scheduled workshop.  Click here to see the entire schedule of workshops.

Community technology workshops continue!  The “In Sync With Technology" grant team ( Ruth Shasteen, Jackie Lawton, Donna Moore, Jared Cook and Ken Hawley) is pleased to announce the next workshop in the In Sync Series:
